Sid Haig, actor of 'House of 1000 Corpses' and other cult movies, dies at 80 Sid Haig, known for his role as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie’s “House of 1000 Corpses” trilogy, died Saturday. He was 80. His wife announced the news on Instagram. Haig had a fall several weeks ago and suffered serious breathing complications after arriving at the hospital. He died of a lung infection. “On Saturday, September 21, 2019, my light, my heart, my true love, my King, the other half of my soul, Sidney, passed from this realm on to the next,” Haig’s wife, Susan L. Browns coach admits late draw play a 'bad call' TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley needed to be helped to the locker room after injuring his right ankle late in the second quarter Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he didn't return to the Giants' 32-31 win. "I really don't know too much about the injury, got an X-ray on it," Barkley said. "Nothing's wrong with it there. Going to get a better understanding of what it is, and whatever it is, I'm going to work my tail off." Barkley was injured when his right ankle bent awkwardly while he was tackled by Bucs safety Mike Edwards. Barkley limped to the sideline, where he was immediately attended to by trainers.
